Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use QuoteBakkie (quotebakkie.co.za), a service that turns voice notes and typed descriptions into written quotes. By creating an account you accept these terms.

1. The service

QuoteBakkie uses software, including artificial intelligence, to draft quotes from what you say or type, your price list and the information you upload. Prices come from your price list or from prices you state. Items that are not on your price list are marked "to be confirmed".

2. You check every quote

A quote is a draft until you send it. You are responsible for checking items, quantities, prices, VAT and terms before you send a quote to a customer. We are not responsible for losses that come from a quote you sent without checking it.

3. Free trial

New accounts get a 14-day free trial. No payment card is needed to start. When the trial ends, you need a paid plan to create new quotes. Your existing quotes stay available.

4. Plans and payment

• Monthly plan: R299 per month.
• Founder plan: R199 per month for the first 12 months, for a limited number of early customers. After 12 months the standard monthly price applies.
• Annual plan: R2 990 per year.

Payments are processed by Paystack. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We give at least 30 days' notice of a price change.

5. Fair use

Plans include up to 200 new quotes per month. Changes to an existing quote do not count. Contact us if you need more.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Plan tab in the app, or by emailing info@quotebakkie.co.za. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund part-periods, except where the Consumer Protection Act or other law requires it.

7. Your content

You own your price lists, documents, quotes and customer details. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you. You must have the right to share any customer information you enter.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use QuoteBakkie for unlawful purposes, to mislead customers, or to try to access other users' data. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep QuoteBakkie available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it is free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes by email or in the app. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
